The Health Professions Advisory Committee (HPAC) is comprised of student leaders who are shaping the pre-health professions programs offered at San Francisco State University.

Our focus is to assist fellow SFSU students in reaching their health profession career goals by providing both the vision and the resources necessary to organize, guide and manifest a variety of health professions activities on campus. Specifically, these activities include: 1) undergraduate and post-bac student advising, 2) dissemination of timely information by e-mail, 3)coordination of volunteer experiences and internships, 4) creation of a weekly Health Professions Speaker Series, 5) creation of an Introduction to Health Professions course for freshmen and sophomores, 6) administration of formal post-bac programs (Pre-Health Professions Certificate Program and the SFSU/UCSF Pre-Dental Re-applicant Program), 7) coordination of the informal post-bac program, 8) offering scholarships to SFSU undergraduates, informal post-bacs (2nd-Bacs) and formal post-bacs in need of financial assistance.

HPAC welcomes new members and interns from the SFSU student population.
