Personal Statement

My decision to pursue a graduate degree was indeed a great one. I have enjoyed the experience and the great learning environment at San Francisco State University. Moving to San Francisco, after living in Southern California, was a breath of fresh air and I have been able to grow professionally and personally. 

I invite you to learn a little more about my graduate experience at SFSU while attaining a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Nonprofit Administration. During my graduate studies I was also employed by United Way of the Bay Area, a pioneering nonprofit organization dedicated to the residents of the Bay Area. This experience, in addition to my academic development, has increased my professional development by leaps and bounds; further it has solidified my purpose in life: to serve others to the best of my ability. The following pages on this web site will not only detail my academic accomplishments but will also shed some light on my professional development. 

It is really hard to know where one will end up but at the end of the road I hope that I have lived a fulfilling life.  One filled with not only accomplishments but filled with touching moments where I have made an attempt toward making a positive change in the world.  I know that this is not an easy task, but one can dream of making this world a better place and try with whole-hearted sincerity to do just that.  So, as I look toward an unknown future I hope that I will some day direct an impactful organization that cares about humanity and strives to make others lives happier, even if it is for a brief moment.
