Window Insulator

Materials:

Foam Carpet Padding ($0.33 per Sq. Ft. Home Depot)
Canvas Painters Drop Cloth ($15.99 for a 9x12 piece Home Depot)
Industrial Strength Velcro x2 ($3.50 per pack Home Depot)
Regular Strength Velcro ($2.98 Home Depot)
Sewing Needle
Aluminum Foil
Dental Floss
Scissors
Duct Tape

Process:

1. Cut the foam padding to the window shape.

2. Line one side of the padding with Aluminum Foil, Using some Duct tape to secure.

3. Cut canvas to fold over and contain the foam padding. Leave enough to overlap the edge of the foam padding.

4. Use dental floss and needle to sew canvas around the edges of the piece of foam to seal the unit.

5. Use dental floss and needle to sew velcro around the edges. Use industrial strength velcro at the top for extra support.

6. Adhere velcro to the sides of the window so that the Insulator will fit snugly around it.

7. Place Insulator over the window to keep in room heat at will.

8. Remove Insulator and open window to cool room at will, roll up to store.
