Team projects
- Prospectus: This is the prospectus for a new product and will be presented orally and in writing at the end of the term.
- Product Development Analysis of a Firm: Select a firm and interview key
marketing and R&D managers to determine nature of their product development
processes and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses. This will be a written
and oral presentation.
- Workshops: This is a team activity and will be the major on-going activity of this course.
Individual Activities
-Journal Folder: This will be handed in on the date specified in the
syllabus. See detailed write up for more information.
First part: I want to know you have engaged and understood the book well enough to ask thought provoking questions or clarifying questions. This is an individual activity in which you will write ONE question for each chapter for class discussion arising from your readings; (This is one question for each chapter not each class ). Staple all these together.
Second part: Keep a running reflective dated account of what happened in your experience of the course.
Third part: Give each person on your team a one page evaluation of what you believe are their Strong Points and Areas for Possible Growth.
Tell the truth.
Fourth part: Highlight five scholarly journal articles you read with
a light yellow marker.
-Famous Inventions: Summarize the story of some famous invention. Look for an important principle to share with the class. Make the principle very clear.(10Minutes,2 pgs.) Include a complete bibliography of your source.
