COURSE OBJECTIVES:
(PREREQUISITES: MKTG 431, MKTG 632 (RES), & MKTG 633 (CONSUMER BEHAVIOR)
GRADING
20% CASE PRESENTATIONS;
20% FIRM ANALYSIS;
10% IN-CLASS ARTICLE PRESENTATION;
15% CLASS PARTICIPATION IN THE BOARD, EXPERIENCES, & DISCUSSIONS
15% MISCELLANEOUS E.G. CRITIQUE, PROBLEM STATEMENTS, ATTENDANCE, ETC.
20% TEST (IF WE SKIP A TEST, THE WEIGHT WILL GO EQUALLY TO THE OTHER TESTS)
CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS AND POLICIES
CASE PRESENTATIONS SHOULD INVOLVE USE OF MULTIMEDIA SUCH AS POWERPOINT (40 MINUTES - ABOUT 20 FOR THE PRESENTATION AND 20 FOR DISCUSSION) ENCOURAGE CLASS PARTICIPATION. YOU NEED TO RESERVE MONITOR FOR POWERPOINT ASAP.
CRITIQUES SHOULD BE CONSTRUCTIVE & THOROUGH(10 MIN. MAX)
ALL MATERIALS MUST BE TYPED, BE FREE OF ERRORS, AND LOOK PROFESSIONAL. IF THEY ARE NOT OF PROFESSIONAL QUALITY, THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
If you miss a class you can still hand the assignment in, but it must be in my box before class time. late submissions will not be accepted.
THE FIRM ANALYSIS INVOLVES A MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION SUCH AS POWERPOINT (40 MINUTES). SEE THE ATTACHED MATERIAL FOR DETAILS. I WILL KEEP YOUR COPY OF THE REPORT IN MY OFFICE.
THIS IS A HIGH PARTICIPATION COURSE. YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN CLASS OFTEN AND WISELY TO GET A GOOD PARTICIPATION GRADE. IF YOU RARELY SPEAK IT IS LIKELY THAT YOUR PARTICIPATION GRADE WILL BE AN "F" OR "D." IF YOU DO NOT GET YOUR STUDENT ID INFORMATION SHEET IN ON TIME, YOU RISK NOT GETTING CREDIT FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION. MAKE YOUR PRESENCE FELT BY PARTICIPATING.
