Rapid Prototyping 

These technologies generate solid objects directly from a computer model. Techniques include Stereolithography, laser sintering, 3-D printing, and others. For example, in stereolithougraphy a laser beam is focused into an area of plastic vapor to create solid plastic at appropriate locations.
