        The following classes introduce students to an examination of human movement from a social science perspective. Ethnographic fieldwork, media analyses, historical studies, and other forms of qualitative research are among the methods used to examine topics related to physical activity. Students are encouraged to think about the social and cultural variables that influence our experiences in physical activity including cultural identity, gender, and race.
