Professional Skills
The
Masters in Public Administration program has helped me
develop professional skills that translate to my
everyday work like. Courses in Public Budgeting
and Financial Management taught me skills in forecasting
and cost-benefit analysis that have aided me at work in
Fremont as I am now in charge of the Community
Development Department’s annual operating budget and
managing the city’s Capital Budget process (CIP).
Critical Response papers, policy memos, and other policy
analysis projects have helped me with researching topics
and writing proper assessment memos to my department
head supervisors and with writing staff reports to the
Fremont City Council.
