If you're testing VirusScan 8.5i, which would be a good idea if you plan on deploying it since it has a number of new features, you should also note that ProtectionPilot 1.5 beta3 is available for testing. From the readme.txt:

McAfee ProtectionPilot software version 1.5 has been released to support McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i, the 5000-series detection definition (DAT) files and scanning engine, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the ProtectionPilot database.

SFGate.com is reporting that UC is giving low-rate loans for UC's elite on homes. Some of these are for less than 2 percent and they won't divulge names of the recipients. How nice. Over $700 million in loans and a faculty member at UCLA with a $1.5 million loan. Sure makes my proposed 2% raise seem like excess, don't it?

How do these guys make money? VMWare Server is free and now out of beta so Microsoft has made Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 free for all. YMMV.
