What's in store for WSUS 3.0?

According to PatchAholic...The WSUS Blog! : What can you expect in WSUS 3.0? there will be some long requested features in WSUS 3.0 and much more flexibility. Unfortunately the web interface will be replaced with an MMC UI in order to provide richer views. This seems to fly in the face of all the "Live" efforts Microsoft has brewing so let's hope it was a good decision.

My first posting from Word 2007

Now, while I doubt I’ll use Word 2007 for all blog posts, it is nice to have as an option. Good work team. Oh, and I should say, the UI update for Word is AWESOME! I’d add more but I’m speechless writeless at the moment.

Symantec Ghost: Local access vulnerabilities in Database

The local access vulnerabilities in Symantec Ghost 8.2 and earlier probably aren't too earth shaking since they require physical access to the host system.

However, the other enhancements to Symantec Ghost 8.3 (part of Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) 1.1 might be of interest:
  • Support for terabyte or bigger hard disks.
  • Fedora core cloning support.
  • No size limit for local ghost image file; now you can have a single large image file.
  • Ghost boot wizard upgrade to support ISO images and USB thumb drive.
  • Updated network drivers and use of UNDI dirver.
  • Secured ghost database management.

OT :: Parallel Earth

Narrator:
Scientists have long speculated that infinite parallel worlds exist on different planes than the world we know.
On these Earths history has taken different paths:
On one, dinosaurs and man co-exist.
On another the Russians were the first men to walk on the moon.
On another still, Clay Aiken defeated Ruben Studdard.
Now join us as we travel through the fabric of time and space to visit one of these mysteries -- one of these paralle Earths.

Announcer:

And now a message from the president of the United States:

Update: Looks like the video had to be removed from YouTube, so see CrooksandLiars instead.
