MySQL Users Conference 2006 - April 24-27, 2006 - Santa Clara, CA

Share your knowledge and experience employing MySQL in the real world. The Call for Participation is now open, and you're invited to submit a proposal to speak at the next MySQL Users Conference, April 24-27, 2006, in Santa Clara, California.

Next year, their enlarged exhibit hall will showcase the latest MySQL-related technologies by vendors and highlight a variety of open source projects. They're also planning some special evening events for attendees and speakers.

Now Free: Opera 8.5

The ads are gone and so is the cost of ownership!  Download Opera 8.5 and give it a try.  Though overall it may not be better than Firefox it certainly has some nice features.

By using Web services to manage IT systems, deployments that support WS-Management will enable IT managers to remotely access devices on their networks, regardless of whether the systems are just out of the box, powered down or otherwise unavailable.

Let's hope we get this before the end of the decade.

USB key as RAM in Windows Vista

Got a laptop that's max'd on memory and still need more?  Plug in a whatever-size USB flash drive and Vista can use it as main memory!
Pull it out on the fly! Go ahead, I dare you.  Data on the device is encrypted (likely with TPM?) so not a worry!
