Claire Loiseau, PhD is a Postdoctoral Fellow at SFSU studying the effects of deforestation on blood-borne diseases in Africa.


Holly Archer is a Master's student at SFSU studying the effects of forest fragmentation on blood parasites in Costa Rica.


Molly Dodge is a Master’s student at SFSU studying the host specificity of African avian blood parasites. 


Criseyda Martinez is a Master’s student at SFSU studying the molecular basis for host specificity in avian malaria. 


Tija Altergott is a Master’s student at SFSU studying the effects of climate change on avian malaria.


Tim Marzec is an undergraduate student at SFSU studying blood parasites of kingfishers.


Liezl Madrona is an undergraduate student at SFSU studying the ecology of blood parasites in Costa Rica.


Edward Evans is an undergraduate student at SFSU studying the blood parasites of threatened bird species.

Heather Ishak finished her Master's at SFSU, working on blood parasites of Spotted Owls and also migratory hawks of California. She is now working at the University of Texas in Austin.

Anthony Chasar finished his Master's at SFSU, working on the effects of deforestation on the blood parasites of African rainforest birds.  He is presently a research associate at the Center for Tropical Research at UCLA. 

Mark Jasper finished his Master's at SFSU, studying how blood parasites affect the migration of different populations of Red-tailed Hawks in California.  He is presently working as an environmental consultant. 

Jenny Carlson finished her Master's at SFSU, studying the blood parasites and mosquitoes of Socorro Island, Mexico.  She is presently a PhD student at UC Davis in the Dept. of Entomology.
