Studies and Current National and World Events. They also highlight new
sites each week, provide "Lesson Plans of the Day", have online quizzes

Heritage K-12 Curriculum - This site is maintained by the Bancroft
Library at UC Berkeley and is a great source for California History.
American Memory Project -
This site, from the Library of Congress, houses their historical collections
for the National Digital Library.

This online directory of K-12 web-based curriculum, lesson plans, web activities
and research sites was developed by librarians and is a great resource
for the beginning teacher.

to Educational Materials- The Gateway to Educational Materials is a
Consortium effort to provide educators with quick and easy access to thousands
of educational resources found on various federal, state, university, non-profit,
and commercial Internet sites.

as well as other subjects. It hosts a great on-line puzzle maker area as
well as other games and online activities for kids and teens.
Lightspan - A online learning resource
for school and home, it has a great teacher resource area and also offers
teacher and parents threaded discussion groups.
EduHound - A resource for all kinds
of educational-based activities and has a Spanish language area as well.
