Schultz, Theodore William (1902- )


 

Economist, born in Arlington, SD. He studied at South Dakota State College and Wisconsin University, then taught at Iowa State College (1930-43) and the Unviersity of Chicago (1943-72). He shared the 1979 Nobel Prize for Economics for his work stressing the importance of the human factor in agriculture.
