I grew up on hip hop and R & B. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg sang my junior high anthems. When I felt depressed I'd listen to SWV and Mary Jane Blige. Growing up, I thought rock music was produced by sociopaths that screamed into microphones.
During high school though my nephews introduced me to Cake, STP, RATM, Filter, Prodigy, Bush, Metallica and the Offspring (just to name a few). Since then, I've gravitated towards indy and modern rock, punk and alternative music. I still enjoy hip hop and R & B music but not as much as when I was young.
According to iTunes I have 2245 songs on my computer. Here is a breakdown of some of my favorite bands. (This table is only indicative of the bands and musicians I am currently favoring at the moment.)
