On October 25, 2007 a panel discussion on the topic of Carbon Offsets For Travelers: Effective CO2 Reduction; Or Just Guilt Relief was held at San Francisco State University. A panel of travel industry and environmental organizations addressed travel generated CO2 emissions, the potential and actual benefits of carbon offsets in reducing them, and other alternatives for reducing travel-generated CO2.  Panel moderator was Dr. Patrick Tierney from SFSU and panel members were Lars Kvale with the Center For Resources Solutions, Daniel Mathews from Stanford Univserity and Todd English with LiveNeutral. The panel discussion results are presented in a number of formats on this website;
