Common Names: Pili Nut
A large, lovely tree native to the East Indies, it has
buttresses and aerial roots and is cold tender. It bears triangular, spindle-like
hard-shelled nuts with an almond flavor. The rich oily seeds are eaten
both raw and roasted. The pulp of the fruit is also eaten.
