ALLSPICE TREE
pimenta dioica
A medium-size tree of tropical America, it has large oblong leaves with prominent veins underneath and a clove-like odor when crushed. The flowers are small and white; the fruit is about 1/4" across, dark brown when ripe. Propagated by seed.
