Team Work/Leadership

“No man is an island, entire of itself”  John Donne

Public policy making and implementation cannot be effective without addressing the need of society-wide coordination and required teamwork. My experience in MPA program was an eye-opener in that I learnt how to appreciate the merits of teamwork and effective leadership in a good teamwork environment. Economic welfare is tightly linked to a well-functioning infrastructure between governmental, nongovernmental institutions and non- and for-profit organizations. This understanding was the capstone of my studies in program and along this vision, a heavy emphasis on teamwork and developing leadership skills were vital parts of classroom experience.

My self-awareness and maturity have flourished as I listened, collaborated and influenced my teammates while exploring our prospects. Naturally, this interaction was a two-way process, in which I acquired new perspectives, while I contribute to cultivate new viewpoints for my classmates. Thanks to this rewarding experience, I broadened my appreciation for the diversity of ideas in teamwork context and how to capitalize on these diverse ideas as an effective public policy leader.

Some of my academic work reflecting on my experience in teamwork driven projects are below:
