Writing is the heart of the MPA program. The writing skills you hone with the program are invaluable. You become a more persuasive and concise writer. In every course there are many progressively complex professional writing assignments and with everyone it becomes more and more second nature. It is how we communicate in the professional world, and the more we do it the more we can appreciate a good memo or document. It also forces our minds to work to find the proper words not just the most convenient. Writing is a learned skill and the more you practice that skill the more proficient you become at mastering it. The program gives you various types of opportunities to practice and master your skills. Writing is a lifelong learning experience.
