Professional Skills
My professional skills presently are those of a
skilled craftsperson. I have improved my
skills with over thirty years of experience delivering
products directly to customers. With those
products goes a variety of communication skills
including writing precise specifications, verbally
articulating what the finished product should look like
and how it should operate. There are visual
demonstrations (presentations) listing sequences of
events so that customers will be able to understand
operations of equipment.
Other
professional skills involve working with others (team
work) in different crafts to coordinate and schedule so
that projects are delivered in a timely manner with a
minimum of disruption. When the unexpected happens
as it will, I discuss and analyze (leadership) the best
way to achieve the best results available and work out
alternatives.
My greatest strength lies with my people skills. I
am a good communicator and like to realize a finish with
which both parties feel they have reached a fair
agreement. The proverbial win-win situation is the
best outcome. I present the facts as they become
available so when the less desired outcome looks
inevitable, the distress will be kept to a minimum.
