Examples of Home Pages Found Weak, Poorly-Designed, and/or Uninspired in Concept of Home Page
- visit site A full length picture of his best friend is one of many links that fall into the genre "waste of flesh." Jumbled design, (all aligned to the left). Displays corporate logos as a way of defining personal identity.-TL
- visit site Images were not being downloaded fast enough to hold my interest. The guy's webpage was telling his story mostly through pictures that I could not get the chance to see..Steve Nobili art511
- visit site Weak home page: The tools to make it where
almost as big as the personal side. I followed the
links and then began reading the Chris part and after
I got sea sick from the background I realized I
didn't really want to know this guy. The guy could have least
made himself sound cool. His links where all sorts of colors. I could tell exactly what
I was suppose to click on. The guy could have least
made himself sound cool.
- visit site What can hurt worse than yellow text on a white background?
Only one thing, the same word written three times in large RED LETTERS
There's a huge vaugely philosophical IMG at one of the links
and the graphics on the first page are not only indeterminate
they seem almost vulgar.
- visit site This site is a prime example of why the web is different than
other media. Even though it appleals to a very specialized audience
, it nonetheless has world-wide distribution. What once might have
been a clever joke has actually been given the space to evolve into
an art form. The site comes with all the tools to create your
own Mythku including a glossary of relevant terms as well as
a thesaurus, or you can kick back and read the Mythkus while browsing
else where. Some of the poems are really quite good.
- visit site No real information organization. The typical geek's home page. Although his subsite at http://www.atl.mindspring.com/~lewval3/Lgo/Parables/Gospel/gospel.htm is pure genius (just go look).

- visit site So, here is Cryptie's home page. Aesthetically lacking as
soon as one hits his first page (I NEVER want to see another
one of those animated dripping bloody bars again!). The
text content is, well, laughable--I guess, as is the photo
section (although I don't believe they're supposed to be). -vv

- visit site I suppose it comes down to blandness and a general apathy for this one. mc
- visit site This site is really basic, and some images are too big and unclear. The worst is that you can't tell what the hell your reading. TomL
- visit site This is a very plain site, and the guys are trying to look too tough. Also I can't read a word they're trying to say. TomL
- visit site Can't read...needs more color...loosing eyesight...all I see is blue. RG
- visit site well, aside from the content i have no interest in, this site doesn't
seem to have much direction. I had a hard time figuring out why he
would put this up (except for trying to get some business for his brother).
The pictures are disproportioned, and he sold out with the banner.
the Queen is dead. That's it. -a.c.

- visit site This site has the author's photo one too many times. The text gets lost with his image all over the place, and the design has no aesthetics at all!

- visit site THIS PAGE STINKS. It is large & takes several seconds to
load. It is long & has a night-sky background that repeats
itself like Andy Warhol. The text talks about its creator,
Ron Tupas, & his favorite thing, rave parties. There are
tiny animated icons & dozens of links in no order. This
idiocy must be seen to be believed. 1.03 - JLS
- visit site She seams to be having the same problems I was,and still am having.
At least the has a backgroung color. RG

At least she has a background color. RG
- visit site This page is simple & well done. It is small enough to load
easily; the colors are easy on the eyes; in 3 sentences you
learn all you need to know about the creator. The page is in
Europe & has a language switch. I give it an 8.4 - JLS
- visit site This page has some interresting graphics and layout, but I couldn't figure out what information it was providing for at least 3 pages. I'm still not sure what this page is for. RG
- visit site Loading time was several seconds too long because of page
length & animated characters including the neon-sign title.
The text is long, vague & mostly about rave parties which
suck. The links are in no order & are hot yellow...
This page stinks. Rates 1.05 & isn't worth seeing.
- visit site well, aside from the content being useless, there seems to be
no reason for this page (except for trying to get his brother some business).
The photos are disproportioned, and he sold out with the banner.
The Queen is dead. that's all. - A.C.
- visit site This page seems like she filled out a form with all the information about herself. Not very creative. - LJ
- visit site I listed a web ring for the weak page too. And you'll see the many examples of the generic personal web page. Again, it was my shitty , cranky old 25 Mhz, 20 meg ram mac that kept freezing and crashing so I couldn't finish viewing the pages.

- visit site The site has the author's photo one too many times. The text gets lost. As far as design, there is no aestheics at all!
