Personal Statement

I am very pleased to finish
all of the master degree courses and feel proud of
myself. I have had a hard time studying in U.S.A.
because of my poor English ability and the different
teaching methods. I still remember how much I was
embarrassed when group discussion of the first class
started. I was not used to discussions in class. Now I
came to realize how important and how useful sharing my
thoughts with others is. Thus, I learned a lot of things
beyond public administration knowledge through MPA
courses.
One of the benefits I gained
from the program was my attitude toward my public job
changed. I had never recognized before how public
administrators could play a crucial role in successfully
formulating and implementing public policies. In
addition, as a leader for the near future, I learned how
to motivate people and how to have good relationships
with them.
Among several projects I
have done, my research on “The relationship between
educational expenditure per pupil and student achieve on
K-12” is the most memorable. Through the research, I
somewhat came to know American education systems and
education expenditures. Also I recognized that school
administrators’ ability to use school resources wisely
can influence student achievement.
I look forward to
contributing the knowledge and skills I have learned for
achieving my agency’s goals. And I want to keep in mind
public administrators can get involved in developing
society by improving public service and using resources
productively. I want to be a leader who is warm-hearted,
proactive, and capable.
