Professional Skills
I have three years and half of experience working for a child
advocacy organization called Kids in Common (501(c)3). This
organization managed the federal initiative called the Greenbook
Project in
Santa Clara
County. The
goal of this project was to improve systemic and community
responses to families effected by the co-occurrence of domestic
violence and child maltreatment. As the Project Coordinator for
this initiative, I worked with representatives from Santa Clara
County Superior Court and Social Services agency, Directors at
Domestic Violence agencies, and other community-based
organizations interested in ending domestic and child abuse. In
this position, it was important for me to provide direction and
leadership to project members to increase collaboration and
improve communication strategies to better help families facing
issues of domestic violence and child maltreatment. From this
experience, I have gained a good foundation around how these
public agencies function and learned how to successfully
advocate for future policies and partnership for children and
families in the Bay Area community.

The following documents will demonstrate my
professional skills in both the public and nonprofit sector.
