New Faculty and Staff

The COSE Health & Safety Specialist (lvadura@sfsu.edu) conducts safety orientation with new tenure-track faculty and staff.  If you have recently been hired, please contact Linda Vadura to schedule an orientation and then  this application.

Temporary/Part-Time/ORSP New Hires

Faculty and staff supervisors are responsible for providing a safety orientation to all of their new hires.

This handbook is designed for new lecturers, teaching assistants, who work in chemistry, biology or other laboratories, and student staff working in stockrooms or other support labs, where hazardous chemicals are handled or stored.

This handbook assists PI's and staff supervisors to provide a safety orientation to new research assistants, grad students, supervised research students, "official volunteers", post-docs, and lab staff/supervisors paid for through grants, who handle hazardous chemicals of areas where they are stored.
