Thanks to all who haven given their generous support to the College of Education and the Cahill Learning Resources and Media Laboratory. We would like to recognize those individuals, companies, and groups that have made donations to our facility.

  • Edvina Andrew Cahill Edvina Cahill's generous bequest to San Francisco State University will endow The Jane Andrew Cahill and Edvina Andrew Cahill Scholarship Fund. The Cahill Scholarship will assist deserving San Francisco State undergraduates as they study to become elementary school teachers. Preference will be given to women and students from single-parent families. A portion of Edvina Cahill's bequest will endow the College of Education's Learning Resources and Media Laboratory. This fund will be used for new acquisitions and teaching materials. In recognition of her magnificent generosity and distinguished career in education the Learning Resources and Media Lab has been renamed the The Jane Andrew Cahill and Edvina Andrew Cahill Learning Resources and Media Laboratory


    Apple Computer Partners in Education 3 Grant (PIE3) 1996. Along with Mission High School and the Step to College program we recieved four Power Macintosh 5400 computers, a printer, a scanner, and a Quicktake camera.


    California Coastal Commission Science text series and teacher activity books were donated by the California Coastal Commission for use by our College of Education elementary and secondary student teachers. Many of the science materials can be used for student populations enrolled in kindergarden to 6th grades. Subject areas include: global warming, animal study, earth science, urban science, outdoor education and many other topics.


    Harcourt-Brace The 1997 Reading Series, "Signatures" for grades K to 6th was donated by Harcourt and Brace, Publishers. The series is a phonic based program incorporating children's literature. Other components to this series includes trade book libraries, skills assessment, holistic reading assessment, integrated performance assessment, and portfolio assessment teacher's guide.
