Team Work/Leadership

My professional work has included extensive coalition building and leading group processes. At the Urban Land Institute I initiated and managed a series of technical assistance panels utilizing 30 professional volunteers that advised Bay Area cities on the economic feasibility of their transit-oriented development plan. The panels’ work culminated in a TOD MarketPlace day-long conference bringing cities and developers together around development opportunities and a final report.

Over the past four years I have convened a group of 15 women executive directors who meet bi-monthly over dinner to discuss all aspects of organizational management and social change strategy. The group is made up of women ages 30 to 60 in a range of fields, including public health, education, faith-based community organizing, environment, philantropy, and professional association management. Our meetings have become to be an important resource to me in mentoring, leadership development, and organizational problem-solving.
