Clickers are required and are available at the SFSU bookstore (downstairs at the information desk).  To set up your clicker, you will need to enter your student ID into the clicker (this is the # on your student ID card, NOT your social security number).  To do this:

1.             Turn on clicker using the power switch in the lower left hand corner.

2.             Press * to access the ÒSetup menuÓ.

3.             Use the up and down arrows to toggle to the screen that says ÒIDÓ.

4.             Press the green button with the right facing arrow.

5.             Enter your student ID (make sure you double check it!  There should be no spaces).

6.             Press the green button again to finish.

7.             Press the * and your clicker will read Ònew class scanÓ.

8.             Once your clicker finds the class, select BIOL230 (if it finds more than one class) and then push the green button.  Instead of having your clicker scan for the class, you can look in the lower left hand corner of the PRS/powerpoint screen to see what channel the class is in (should be <A> – <E> or <1> - <9>).  Enter the appropriate value and push the green button.  You are ready to go!

9.             When clicker questions are asked, simply push A-E, 1-9, or T/F for your answer and then hit the green button.  If you change your mind while the clock is still running, just enter your new answer and press the green button again.  The clicker will indicate that your answer has been received.
