In Fall of 1994, a group of women came together in search of bringing a Multicultural Sorority to San Francisco State University. They wanted to find a sisterhood that would encompass their need for family, community, education, and diversity, and together be a support system for women. Knowing that sisterhood is for life, Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority Inc., was the only organization who truly made an effort to get to know their perspective members.

As their process began to become sisters of Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority Inc., unity and pride allowed these women to become friends and sisters for life. On March 12, 1995, five dedicated women stood strong and became the Founding Mothers of Lambda Sigma Gamma, Lambda Chapter. We thank our Founders:
