Personal Statement
I grew up in San Francisco and attended the University of California, Davis, and studied Communications and English. After graduation, I returned to San Francisco to explore my career opportunities and worked in the hospitality industry. Shortly after employment, I realized I wanted to return to school to further my knowledge of the government and the skills to become a valuable employee to the public.
The Public Administration program has opened up my view about a variety of public issues including policy analysis, budgets and research methods. This program has exposed me to many of the challenges that the public sector is facing and has made me want to be involved to help make a difference. In addition, the program has improved my teamwork and presentation skills. I believe all the skill sets and knowledge gained from this Public Administration program will make me a well-qualified candidate in any organization.
