Writing Skills
The ability to represent yourself well on paper is very important as it reflects who you are as a person. Writing has always been something that comes to me naturally. Since I was a little girl, writing - whether it be in the form of poetry, a story, or an essay - has been my favorite way of expressing my inner most thoughts and feelings. In most instances, writing is the primary basis upon which your work, your learning, and your intellect will be judged. For these reasons, developing good writing skills are essential for public administrators.
The rigorous writing assignments demanded by the MPA program has helped me to develop different writing styles for different purposes. Included in this section of my ePortfolio are the best examples of different styles I learned in the program.
