Though my previous experience at both the federal and municipal government level has developed a number of professional skills, the MPA program has honed the particular skills necessary for talented administrative or management analyst.
As a basic tool, cost-benefit analyses provide a clear picture give an administrator a sense of the financial consequences of adopting a particular policy. As a demonstration, a net present value analysis is conducted that shows the added value of earning a master degree on top of a bachelor.
A policy's fate rarely rests soley on its merits. More often, the political player and stakeholders bring considerable influence regarding which policy--if any--should apply. This stakeholder analysis breaks out the major players involved in the famous Love Canal scandal.
