CALL FOR PROPOSALS DEADLINE - NOVEMBER 10, 2010 (CLOSED) ICPLJ invites proposals for the seventh international conference, ICPJ7, which will be held at the College of Humanities, San Francisco State University. We welcome proposals for two types of presentations: (1) papers (oral presentations) and (2) posters. ICPLJ is a bilingual conference, and papers and posters may be presented in either English or Japanese. Submissions are invited in any area related to Japanese linguistics. Conference Dates: March 5-6, 2011 Location: San Francisco State University The deadline for submissions is November 10 (Wed.), 2010. (NOW CLOSED) ICPLJ7 is intended to bring together researchers on the cutting edge of Japanese linguistics and to offer a forum in which their research results can be presented in a form that is useful to those desiring practical applications in the fields of teaching Japanese as a second/foreign language. All topics in linguistics will be fully considered, including: phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, lexicon, pragmatics, second language acquisition, bilingualism, Japanese language education/instruction, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) technology, and language production. Submitted abstracts, which should be no more than one page (i.e., no more than 450 words in English or 1,000 characters in Japanese), must represent original, unpublished research.
