Hello all! I'm Amanjot K. Pooni, a sophmore here at SFS, majoring in Bio Sci. I am Punjabi and very proud of it. My family and friends circle make up quite the majority of my life -oh, and Bhangra of course! I love meeting new personalities. SFSU is a very diverse campus with so many unique cultures, among which is our very own. I'm taking part in ISA this year as a means to help in connecting the Indian students on campus and to spread awareness to others about the Indian culture. As an Event Coordinator, I'm looking forward to organize events which will help us in this endeavor. It should be an eventful and memorable year up ahead =] |

As of now, I'm a pre-med student majoring in biology and hope to become a surgeon someday. I've been part of ISA for over a year now, being the treasurer last year, and I look forward to seeing some great events with a good turnout. In my spare time, I enjoy developing my artsy side that includes Bollywood dance. I've starting up a team this year to get us going at our events, so I hope more of you that are interested join the organization and dance. I can be a busy bee running around campus all day to get things done, but I enjoy it all. I'm keeping my hopes high for this year to be a blast for y'all! |

Hello, my name is Shareen and I am a student here at San Francisco State. I intend to pursue a profession as an Astronomer at NASA. I am of Fijian/Indian decent, Rajasthani Indian to be precise but was born and raised in the Bay Area, San Francisco primarily. I love to perform and to be on stage. In fact, singing is one of my biggest passions. I love to dance as well... as I am on a professional Bhangra DANCE LINEUP that represents San Francisco State called San Francisco Diyan Kuriyan aka SFDK. I consider myself to be genuine, sincere, spiritual, intellegent and open-minded. My family and friends mean the world to me. They keep me grounded and have supported me through it all. I feel blessed to have them. San Francisco State is a second home to me as I feel like I have become a more mature young woman and have experienced and learned lessons that will lead me to an accomplished life. And the best part is… since I've been here, I have found a big family to share those experiences with. |
