Text Books
The text books to be bought are given on the website under class schedule. As far as MBA is concerned do ask the professor whether the international edition would do or not.Text books are important becuase often the professors give case studies which change from one edition to other.
Computer Science professor usually have their own customized text books.
Electrical Engineering students have reference books and papers.
Medicines
San Francisco weather changes very quickly so you might have minor health problems.Medicines are a little costly here. For normal cough and cold the expense could be around $30.It is recommended to carry cough and cold medicines.Other medical stuff would be bandage, dettol etc.
Excercise is the best medicine for any kind of minor illness.
Manage time, run 4 rounds of the stadium and life is good.
Clothes
Apart from your normal clothes get a good jacket. It does not snow in San Francisco but initially you might find it difficult to resist the cold.
Do get lot of cotton socks.
Utensils
Make sure you get a flat bottom wessel. If you are able to form groups before you fly to San Franccisco then we would say you come here and buy a pressure cooker. Here you get good electic cookers for $32. Sadly Indian pressure cookers are no match to these electric cookers. They are easy to clean and maintain. The most important they do not blow up like the Indian pressure cookers.
Bathroom Stuff
It is recommended to get a big pack of razor blades, duo, shaving creams. These things are pretty costly here.Other stuff is up to you.
