HSA's blog — Past & Present: A History Blog — is an online database of articles, essays, and book reviews that discuss or reference historical topics and issues. Our goal is to provide history students, as well as academics, with a resource with which to engage in discussions and debates on topics where the past and the present collide. All readers are invited to submit articles to the blog for administrative review and, if approved, inclusion. In doing so, a collaborative community of interested readers is brought together and, we believe, a larger discussion concerning the eternal relevance of the past in our lives today is begun.
