Dear students,

The History Students Association, in its current incarnation, was created in 2005 in order to facilitate communication between history students and the faculty, enhance the history learning experience, further the goals of history students, and for social interaction and entertainment among history students.

In addition to regular meetings, HSA holds many events — like movie nights — throughout the year. All students with an interest in history — not just history majors — are encouraged to join us.

Members are welcome to become further involved by attending monthly meetings, running for office, or volunteering as an event coordinator. Our elections occur yearly and everyone — officer or no — has a voice in our organization.

Please feel free to email us at any time at hsa@mail.sfsu.edu and have a wonderful year.

Yours Sincerely,

Thomas Strange
(HSA President)

Hisory Student Association Officer Election's

The year is coming to an end and we hope all of you had a prosperous year! With the end of the year coming near, the History Student Association must hold elections for a new table of officers. Being an officer of the HSA means that you will be helping administer the growth of our association and interact with many of the History students on campus and off. You will develop and sharpen administrative, organizational, and team coordination skills. As an officer of the SFSU History Student Association you will be representing the common bond that all History students share, our love for History.

Below you will find a descriptive list for each position within the History Student Association. The positions are opened for both Undergraduate and Graduate memebers of the HSA who hold a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. Elections will be held on April 18th at 11:15 a.m. at the History Lounge (SCI 270)
