Volunteer and Internship Portal
Overview:HPAC maintains informal relationships with several hospitals and community clinics in San Francisco and beyond. These connections allow HPAC to have a finger on the pulse of valuable service learning opportunities in a wide range of health care settings. Our goal is to provide SFSU students with guidance and support in finding sustained volunteer work that will foster continuing personal, academic and professional development.
HPAC can help students maximize their volunteer experiences.
Our aim is to:
- Help students choose volunteer experiences that match their needs, in terms of commitment level, time and area of interest
- Help students receive academic credit for qualified internships and service projects
- Brief students on important patient privacy requirements (HIPPA) required by most clinical sites
- Provide CPR training for a limited number of students
