The President shall be responsible for all working components of HMS and, more specifically, will:
- Preside over general meetings and Officer meetings of the chapter.
- Oversee all activities consistent with the accomplishment of the purpose of this organization.
- Appoint functionary committees as may be necessary for the accomplishment of the organization.
- Assist Officers, to accomplish the purposes of this organization.
- Attend Hospitality Management Advisory Board meetings as a liaison between students, faculty and advisory board members.
- Provide a written report, at the end of the term, to the Hospitality Management Department Chair, the Faculty Advisor(s), and the incoming Officers.
- Specific duties as outlined in the job description of the President of HMS.

The Vice-President of Fundraising shall be responsible for:
- Appointing functionary positions which are deemed necessary to insure the successful completion of fundraising events.
- Assisting in the promotion of HMS activities and events to the student body at San Francisco State University and the community-at-large.
- Interfacing with hospitality vendors and the community-at-large for donation potentials.
- Providing a written report, at the end of each event, to the Officers, the Department Chair, Faculty Advisor(s).
- Providing a written report, at the end of the semester to the Officers, the Department Chair, the Faculty Advisor(s) and the incoming Officers.
- Specific duties as outlined in the job description of the Vice President of Fundraising of HMS.

The Secretary shall be responsible for:
- Recording minutes of all meetings.
- Distributing copies of all meeting minutes to all Executive Committee members, the Hospitality Management Department Chair, the Faculty Advisor(s), the Director of Student Affairs and the Hospitality Management Advisory Board Chair.
- Creating and distributing the HMS Newsletter on a monthly basis.
- Tracking member participation at HMS events, providing a written report at the end of each event to the Vice-President of Membership..
- Maintaining current service point totals on a monthly basis.
- Providing a written report, at the end of the term, to the Society President, Department Chair, Faculty Advisor(s) and the incoming Officers.
- Specific duties as outlined in the job description of the Secretary of HMS.

The Public Relations Officer shall be responsible for:
- Promoting all HMS programs, whether scholastic or social in nature to the student body of San Francisco State University and to the community-at-large (as appropriate).
- Creating and distributing of all flyers, posters and other announcements for all HMS events.
- Coordinating all HMS events with the other Officers
- Maintaining of the HMS bulletin board(s) and website.
- Specific duties as outlined in the job description of the Public Relations Officer for HMS.

The Vice-President shall be responsible to promote and support all HMS functions, and, more specifically, will:
- Preside at general meetings and at the Officer meetings of HMS in the absence of the President.
- Assist Officers, as necessary to accomplish the purposes of this organization.
- Assist other officers in the promotion and implementation of both social and academic and career related programs.
- Notify scholarship recipients of their awards and distributing necessary paperwork for these awards.
- Attend Hospitality Management Advisory Board meetings in the absence of the President or as requested by the President.
- Act as the Inter-Club Council Representative at all appropriate Inter-Club Council meetings in conjunction with the President of the organization.
- Provide a written report, at the end of the term, to the Hospitality Management Department Chair, the Faculty Advisor(s) and the incoming Officers.
- Duties as outlined in the job description of the Vice President of the HMS.

The Vice-President of Membership shall be responsible for:
- Promoting all HMS programs, whether scholastic or social in nature to the student body of San Francisco State University.
- Coordinating all HMS events with the other Officers.
- The promotion of the Hospitality Management Program to the student body of San Francisco State University.
- Conducting new student orientations to familiarize students with HMS and the Hospitality Management Program.
- Increasing the active membership of HMS.
- Increasing the awareness of HMS scholarships.
- Providing a written report, at the end of the semester to the Officers, the Department Chair, the Faculty Advisor(s) and the incoming Officers.
- Specific duties as outlined in the job description of the Public Relations Officer for HMS.

The Treasurer shall be responsible for:
- Full fiduciary responsibilities of HMS.
- Developing and maintaining detailed budget(s) and timelines for each event that is planned.
- Collecting contributions for any special activities in conjunction with the Vice President of Fundraising and the Officers.
- Making any payment of debts incurred by HMS as directed by the President of HMS.
- Maintaining and presenting treasuring reports on a monthly basis to the officers and members of HMS.
- Assisting other officers in the promotion and execution of club activities.
- Specific duties as outlined in the job description of the Treasurer of HMS.

The Community Service Officer shall be responsible for:
- Developing, planning and coordinating community service events.
- Developing, planning and coordinating professional and social events for the organization.
- Developing and continuing of network relationships within the hospitality community of the San Francisco Bay Area in terms of potential areas of internships and/or employment, scholarships, etc.
