What is a GatorAider?
GatorAiders are the people in purple jackets who you've seen and
worked with Orientation. GatorAiders take classes to learn all about
San Francisco State University. They learn about each academic
college and department, student services, campus events, student
life, and more!
Other than Orientation, what does a GatorAider do?
As a GatorAider, you could attend national and regional conferences,
retreats, and other special events while getting to know a great
group of people.
What are the other benefits of being a GatorAider?
* meeting new people and making new friends
* help your peers
* great opportunity to network
* get involved
* learn about SFSU
* earn 3 units a semester
* earn extra cash!
How do I become a GatorAider?
Just sign up for COUN 325 with Karen Kingsbury next semester! It
meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:10 - 3:25 pm.
(No prerequisites! All majors welcome!)
Counseling 325
Coun 325 is a 3 unit class that is taught by Karen Kingsbury. The class teaches students the undergratuate requirements here at SF State, as well as the various programs on campus while building necessary leadership skills. It meets at 2:30 Spring and Fall semesters, and is open to students of all class standings. In order to be a Gatoraider, the student must pass with at least a B.
Counseling 699
Coun 699 is a continuation class for Coun 325 Gatoraiders. It reviews and goes in depth with other campus issues and requirements. It is required for a gatoraider to take this class every year in order to keep up with new and old information for summer orientation.
