Location

The Raza Studies Recruitment and Retention Program (RRP) is part of the Raza Studies Department,

but is housed in BURK HALL 337 sharing space with Step To College and the Faculty/Student Mentorship Program.

Mission

The goal of the Raza Studies Recruitment and Retention Program is to increase the number of

students enrolling and successfully graduating from the Raza Studies Department at San Francisco State University.

Goals

To effectively assist students complete their Raza Studies major and minor through utilizing effective retention methods.

To increase student participation in the Raza Studies Department programs and courses.

To increase the number of students taking courses in Raza Studies through recruitment efforts.

To assist Raza Studiesstudents obtain information about the department and graduate school opportunities.

To assist Raza Studies students find internships, community service learning assignments, and research projects in the Raza (Chicano/Latino Studies) field.

To assist students find programs and/or organizations that assist them in effectively complete the Raza Studies program.

To collaborate with the faculty, staff, and the campus community to make the Raza Studies student experience positive, fulfilling, and successful.
