What Is a Faculty Mentor?

Faculty mentors are professors who are highly regarded for maintaining high academic standards. They teach ISED 100/201, courses which include university survival skills. In these classes, faculty mentors assign articles from the perspective of their discipline as class assignments.

Faculty mentors not only monitor contacts between student mentors and proteges, but also act as liaisons for proteges to other faculty and major advisors. They are also references for scholarships, grants, and employment opportunities.
