MARCH WITH LION FOR IMMIGRANT WORKER RIGHTS!

LION members will march together this weekend at a Labor Committee for Peace and Justice demonstration in Oakland and at the Cesar Chavez parade in San Francisco. We'll also attend a Town Hall in Daly City to support airport screeners. We hope you will join us at one or all of these events.

SATURDAY, March 23rd: MARCH & RALLY IN DEFENSE OF AIRPORT SCREENERS, PORT WORKERS, and SERVICE INDUSTRY WORKERS. (Sponsored by the Labor Committee for Peace and Justice). LION members will meet at the corner of 12th and Broadway in downtown Oakland at 11:00 AM, before marching to the rally in Jack London Square.

SUNDAY, March 24th. CESAR CHAVEZ PARADE AND FESTIVAL. Celebrate the legacy of labor and civil rights leader Cesar Chavez with LION.  LION members will meet at the back steps of the Hyatt at the Embarcadero (end of Market Street, San Francisco), before marching town to Civic Center Plaza for the program and festival.

SUNDAY, March 24th: TOWN HALL MEETING IN DALY CITY.  Join LION in showing our support for airport screeners and our opposition to citizenship requirements. The Town Hall meeting will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, at 6767 Mission Street, (corner with Como), 3rd Floor, Daly City.  If you would like to carpool down, please call Mary (510-643-2355) by THURSDAY.
