Low-Tech Communication

For our low tech communication system, we chose to use a grid of changeable dots. The dots can be filled in to create different patterns. Using a key we developed, each letter of the alphabet was assigned to a pattern. The grid was made large enough to be seen from a distance. The dots were filled in manually using construction paper. Hand signals were used for signaling the beginning, ending, and confirmation of letters.
