This is a simple website extension to the two groupbuys that I ran. So from now on, people can purchase it anytime without the groupuby wait.

For those of  you who participated in the group buys already know what this is about. For those of you who didn't, read on for details.

This battery is perfect for both daily driven and race applications. It weighs 10lbs but powerful enough to start V8s. Dynabatt makes a rebadged version of the 14lb G16-EP and retails for $150 which is heavier than the G13-EP. This is much more bang for the buck money-weight wise compared to carbon fiber hoods which goes for $500+. If you haven't heard of it, you can dig up a whole lot of info by searching in the SR20DE forum.

For people who ask whether their high output stereo systems or high wattage lights will be affected by the small size of this battery. The answer is no. The battery is only needed to start the car. The alternator charges your battery and powers the car when it's running. You can disconnect the battery while the car is running and nothing will happen.
To test how much power this battery has, I started the car with my 100watt headlights, 55watt fogs, radio bumped up high, and the car started without any detectable hesitation. I also left the stock stereo(no subs) on for almost two hours and the car started without a hickup.

Advantages of this battery:
1) Frees up mass amount of space under the hood. 1/4 the size of stock Nissan battery which weighs 33lbs and can be placed sideways. Higher power density(power/size ratio) than stock batteries. Great for turbo apps, custom ram air intake, etc. Here's a pic.

Slightly larger Hawker Oddysey battery, next to an already small CRX battery.

2) Increased acceleration. Every 17lb of weight shaved on our car = 1 additional hp. 2500/141 = 17.73 = 2483/140. There are programs that calculate your 1/4 mile time from your car's power/weight ratio. Unlike power mods, weight reduction can be felt over the entire rpm range rather than peaking at a narrow rpm band. Ie. A cai that is rated at 10hp has a net gain of only 1-3hp over the entire range.

3) FWD cars are front heavy. Reducing weight in the front will reduce understeer and improve handling. Less pressure on suspension = less bouncy ride.

4) Less weight = more mpg, easier braking and longer lasting brakes.

5) Dry Cell, pure lead acid battery vs. conventional stock battery: Can be placed in any orientation; will not leak or spill and does not have to ship under hazardous title. Lower self-discharge rate. Does not vent internal acid vapors = will not corrode your battery terminals or nearby parts, thus safe enough to put within the passenger cabin without health risk. Eliminate the risk of dangerous liquid acid battery explosions. Can withstand a wider, more extreme temperature range. Longer service life and is maintenance free. Hawker's website
