In 1999, The Matrix movie came out
with a plot that the Artificial intelligence got so prime (given by
humans), the A.I. started to control Humans' minds by putting them into
a world of fanasty. Because of the A.I.'s belief of human
uncontrollable actions, the A.I. seemed fit to only dictate humans
future. The story continues with the group of people who escape the
A.I.'s control and seek to find a way to free the world of it's grim
future. |

The Sims is a videogame that focus' the lives of a surburan home, where you control their world and their daily activities. What this has to do with A.I. is that it's language called Simlish is used in this. There isn't a absolute translation for this language but it's used for the sims to communicate and it seems nonsensical. |

Iconica
by Troy Innocent According to Mitchell Whiteman, Iconica is a Cybernature. "Cybernature is a coded construction, a mass of inter linked symbols and variables, a complex formation of predetermined elements in a programming language." Troy Innocent has been interested in the creation of virtual spaces and the languages and surroundings. So in his words, Cybernature is a world of languages. Iconica shows interactive space: it forms a artificial world using raw material of computation codes. The system uses six elementary categories: real, synthetic, coded, abstract, subconscious, and metaphysical. Then it will use four more additional symbols: natural, constructed, chaotic, and ideal- with these symbols, they would form,"... complex descriptors, so that a form or entity might be natural coded, chaotic synthetic, idea metaphysical, or constructed real." Characters (from Iconica) are able to mutate and interbreed. Creating new symbols create new meanings. For example, the iconica language communicates with each other and the person as well. Troy Innocent tries to update his work with this idea: to, "capture the idea of a langauge of electronic space which is a kind of natural state for the meduim." |

This book written by Mitchell
Whiteman explains a good surroundings of what A.I. and it's
capabilities. People who know about this topic shoule be well pleased
with this book. Although I have read some of this book, it gives the
ideas of art mediums in detail: for example, explaining categorizing
what type of A.I mediums there is. This maybe hard for people who
aren't very familiar with A.I. so my advice to people who don't know
about A.I. may like to look for more resources if confused. But
nevertheless, this book seems to fulfill it's goal: to tell bout the
creation of A.I. mediums. |
