SOLANUM QUITOENSE
Naranjilla
This small, perennial shrub, native to Ecuador, Peru and Colombia, must be protected from freezing temperatures and makes a good potted plant. It bears large heart-shaped leaves which are downy on both sides and downy violet flowers with white interiors. The 1½" hairy, orange fruit is tomato-shaped with green juicy pulp. Propagated by grafting.
