Knowledge of Public Administration
In the MPA program, I gained a better understanding of the government budget process, which differs in many important ways from accounting, budgeting and reporting techniques in the private sector. I expect that the skills that I have learned in research, statistical analysis, cost benefit analysis, policy development and implementation, administrative law, organizational behavior, e-govenment and leadership will serve me well. The class projects simulated real-world situations, and provided excellent hands-on practice in many techniques.
