Sometimes, possessing skills and knowledge is merely a means to an end. Whether through formal presentations or casual question-and-answer sessions, disseminating information and ideas is crucial.
In addition to sharing information with co-workers, my role as a public servant includes expressing agency policies to a wide array of stakeholders, including other organizations. The real trick is presenting it in such a way that it keeps your audience engaged and allows them to retain that information. Breaking into small groups in order to facilitate discussion creates an opportunity for receiving feedback.
