Announcement of Summer 2003 Solar Academy 

 

Opportunities for Interns 

The Summer 2003 Solar Academy will produce a State of Humanity report focusing on quantitative data relating to energy and resource utilization and availability, population, economic production and environment. Both present status and trends will be gathered and analyzed. In addition, the Academy will produce technical and economic analyses of alternative energy technologies, especially those involving solar energy.

Resumes are now being accepted for the summer of 2003 Internships feature: 

  • Flexible schedules for those working or taking classes - 10 hours per week
  • Training in project management, analysis and other areas
  • Challenging work on real projects and important issues
  • Choose areas closest to your interests
  • Group and individual projects
  • Applicants must have completed one year of college

An initial response to your email will typically be sent within 48 hours.


In addition to engaging in leadership skills development, participants in this option will contribute their thoughts and some library research towards the development of a one sheet and also an 8 page pamphlet describing the current state of the environment as well as major trends. You will receive research or co-authorship credit.

ELIGIBILITY


This program is for university students. (Other opportunities may exist for alumni) Participation is on a volunteer basis, but there is no cost to participate.
